Drill Pipes
As FINDIKSAN BORU, we manufacture drill pipes in two different types: Open Filter (Screen) Drill Pipes and Closed (Blank) Drill Pipes.
Both types are manufactured as spiral welded or seamless.
Open Filter (Screen) Drill Pipes
Open filter pipes are produced by perforating steel sheets of various dimensions, then bending them to the appropriate diameter using rollers to form the pipe. This method ensures a homogeneous distribution of filter slots and allows for a regular flow of water into the well.
Application Areas:
- Massive and hard rocks (limestone, basalt, andesite, tuff, etc.)
- Fractured, cavernous, or vuggy formations
- Water-bearing levels where mud loss is observed
In these types of ground, the filter pipe allows water to enter the well while limiting the inflow of formation material into the well.
